About Pål
Pål (pronounced: Paul) Bjarne Johansen, grew up in the Norwegian countryside, but moved to Oslo to study, and now lives there with his wife and daughter.
He discovered his passion for travel quite early, first with family tours to Spain (he speaks Spanish), and later he has backpacked much of the world. He currently works as a travel guide and travel writer for Rick Steves.
Some of his greatest passions include sailing his Albin Vega sailboat on the Oslo fjord, going on fishing trips, hiking, eating good food and showing travelers from all over the world his hometown Oslo and its surroundings.
Pål also works as a tour planner, helping visitors to Scandinavia get the most out of their trip.
